At Synapse, we don't look at individual blood values in isolation — we examine how different values relate to each other. This means we can generate a wealth of insights from even a basic panel. More comprehensive lab sets give us even more to work with: the more data we have, the more accurate our predictions.
Preferably yes, but it's not strictly necessary. The more recent your blood test, the more accurately our results will reflect your current health. That said, we can also work with older tests. We recommend a blood test less than 3 months old.
Your biological age reflects how fast your body is actually ageing — based on the risk factors in your blood and lifestyle. Unlike your calendar age, it can change. Synapse uses it to show you where you stand today and how much room you have to improve.
Yes, all blood test formats are accepted. If we don't have enough information to make reliable assessments, those scores will be shown as unavailable with details on which biomarkers are missing.
